Many of you said that B3 managers are preferably using Look Inside. However, 2-3 zone would do the job for the defence, right?
If you have high enough ID/SB/OD on all five players, perhaps 2-3 works. But unless you have such players (assuming they exist), what the 2-3 does is helps you rebound missed shots better, and gives a small benefit defending the inside shots that are contested. Good in theory, but the downside is that it opens up passing lanes dramatically, so that the guards will be able to find an open big for an assisted shot much more frequently, which is almost certainly going to be a score. And it allows guards to be open for jump shots whenever they desire, which isn't necessarily a focus of LI but can be a killer if you manage to defend well enough to force a jumper late on the shot clock.
