Then why have a cut off line at $500k??
Going into debt because of expenses you must pay is different than going into debt for something extra you're trying to purchase, in my eyes.
NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

again only 1 rule applies here.
players should adapt to the rules that are set.
Rules should not be adapted to any players' needs.
If a vast majority of players finds that adaption will (strongly) improve the gameplay, then changing rules
might
be considered. This is clearly no such case, since most who will want to spend a large amount on a good player know they will have to wait until they have the money available instead of buying on credit.
Do not worry, in a few weks, when you have the money probably an even better player will show up... Buying a star on the TL is not a 1-time opportunity.
They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

the point is I guess the limit has been set below for those that are either careless or misjudge their economic position.
so if it is a limit there to help those that perhaps arent wonderful when it comes to managing their funds within their means - surely managers that can plan ahead more effectively / efficiently (and more importantly within the parameters set) should be able to do so (and be rewarded for it)
