Teams that have success in BB, typically train there own star players. Having a good trainer allows players to train significantly faster, which in turn makes the team better.

IMO BB is all about good training. It wins games and makes money. To buy well skilled players is extremely expensive, training them is relatively cheap in the overall picture.

I have a player that is likely worth 3-5 million. He has been trained on my team since day one. The trainer for him cost $490,000 over the three seasons. I consider that a pretty solid investment.

well then they need more trainers because they go for so much a lower team cant afford one
and if a trainer is so important then a lower team has no chance
so you make it sound like that basketball games mean nothing
its training and selling players

Not once did I say that the games are not important, infact the games are all that matters. But that said in order to win games you need good players, in order to get good players you need to train them or buy them. In order to make cash you need to sell quaility players, typically that you have trained.

Results are huge in merchandise and attendence income, but without good players you cannot win games.

Lets face it there are many different approaches to this sim, which makes it awesome! It is my opinion that a good trainer(level 4+) is well worth the money especially for teams just starting out. The transfer market is insane and usually is, so you are best to train from within.

i agree whit you but
i cant get a good trainer i get out bid everytime
so what do i need todo buy players

im talking my level not higher levels

The best approach I find for your case is to go with a lvl 4 trainer. The difference in salary between 4 and 5 is huge as you're looking at 30k+ salary per week so unless you have that kind of luxury, a lvl 4 is the best value for money

and the trainer salary goes up much faster than player

I have to disagree.

The quickest way to succeed is to pay as little as possible for someone else to do as much training for you as possible. You should be trying to add sufficient enough value to your trainees as possible in order to re-sell and accumalate money and when you spend you ideally want to use your money on a 75-85% completed player (someone you plan to keep) to polish and customise according to your tactics.

Spending mega millions on trainees or lvl 6-7 coaches in my opinion is a waste and a sure fire way to fall behind your rivals - let them do the hard work whilst you continue to pick up players like mentioned above that can help you compete faster and smarter.

I do agree with what you are saying but with some of the recent changes and the transfer market the way it is this is impossible. The changes to merchandise are favoring having native born players on your roster, I realize that merchandise is a small revenue maker but none the less.

With the market what it is, it is a challenge to find players that are 50% complete let alone 75-85%. The price tags of any player that is worth continuing to train are usually insane. Are there exceptions? Yes of course, but as a new player there is no way to make the amount of money needed to compete with the crazy bids that happen.

That is why to start out I think training and selling from within is prefered and more cost effective. Once you establish a winning team and some solid talent you suggestion is brilliant. Hence you being one of the best in the BB world.

BTW thanks for chiming in, it is always good to see another way to approach from such a skilled manager.

but if you train ineffective, you loose money to and starting with better trainees could give you a huge benefit and if you are back several 100k through training it take a very long time you catch that up with merchandise, and i am not really sure about the difference but i think home grown players in comparision to nationals aren't the big difference.

And with a bit luck, you could buy back your trainees when they are finished - i got all my ex players in the favorites and failed epic in training one for myself because his training doesn't fit to the rest of my team anbd he was way to weak ;)

Edit2: You could go a little lower for owns guys, but training foreign players still seems to be good and often the better choiche.
