Every important tittle in BB was won without SB. And there is no single example with SB. It is fact.

Indeed.

Did you know that all important races where won by horses in 1890 and none by cars?
Did not prevent people to start building better cars though, you probably wouldnt have done so ;)

That's all right. It's going right over several other heads as well. Don't worry about it.

I see Manon has backtracked. At least he seems to get it, even if he doesn't want to admit it.

Still you are saying there is NO data.
Exactly. Not even any analysis, no hypothesis stated and tested, no comparing and contrasting of strategies, no controls of variables while other variables are tested ... just dogged opinion.

But the scaling works for me.
And at the lower levels, so would numerous other strategies, probably even many of them better than scaling down from D1/B3. That's what I've been saying all along. And people come on and argue with me, saying that many different approaches would work at the lower levels. I have to wonder if any of them ever noticed that they are saying the same thing I am. I have to wonder if they stop reading at "Mike Franks" and start arguing at that very moment. Even a couple of guys who I have seen write intelligently in the forums have done that here.

It wasn't accusation, it was possible explanation. Maybe you won few games because you have more expensive guards (and maybe even whole payroll), not because of SB of bigs.

SO let's summarize (what I hear you saying in your last post)
Don't bother, you didn't get any of it right.

LOL, you're so predictable.

I think ya'll agree the SB is an effective attribute. But i wonder how much would you 'cut' from the ID to train SB instead?
For example, If you could have ID+SB to a total of 27 points, how would you split it?

I've read this whole string of posts, and it is relevant for me as I am training up my Utopia team of all homegrown players.
Since I don't get to pick and choose from the transfer line, and I train my trainees all at once, the relationship of ID to SB is going to be interesting as I develop my team.

I'm definitely training SB as an important skill, and will always aim to have it equal to ID on my best big man, which as it happens is going to lead to it being higher than ID on one of my backup bigs. It will be cool to see how that impacts game play. Also, in the process of training SB for my bigs, my trainee guards are also getting SB training, so I'll hopefully see some advantages there.
