It depends.

In NBA, if a foreigner is awesome (Yao Ming or Dirk Nowitzki), then the merchandise will go up; However, if a foreigner didnt play well or even worse than the reserve players (like Darko Milicic or Nikoloz Tskitishvili), then the merchandise will go down.

Maybe BB could revise the calculation of merchandise stuff in this way next season.

I just bought a U21 player that plays major minutes for his team...and I see no increase in merch...


Regardless of the salary, any foreign player will lower your merchandise income. I saw this many times... I owned the swiss-NT starting C and as soon as I sold him, my merchandise wet up drastically.

So even if you buy the international LeBron Jordan, in this game this will most likely go hand in hand with lower merchandise.

Much has to do with salary of the player and the nations world rank as well. A starter for a foreign top nation will give more merchandise then a middle of the pack ranked nation.
But own drafted players has by far the greatest impact on any teams merchandise no matter what in this game as far as i can see.


Fact is, that a foreign NT player will not increase your merchandise. Most of the time he will even reduce the weekly income in that category (like any other foreigner). Very bright coding.
