Many of you said that B3 managers are preferably using Look Inside. However, 2-3 zone would do the job for the defence, right?
Patient: This offense is the exact opposite of push the ball. It uses a decreased pace instead of an increased pace. It is generally used against stronger teams in order to try to keep the score as close as possible since there will be less possessions in the game. The same goes for all decreased pace offenses.

I wonder whether Patient would be a better choice. Patient strategy is in decreased pace and less possessions, hence less TO and better FG%. Also, the strategy would rely on the best shooter(s), which may suggest the strategy looks for the weakness of the opponent, so it's hardly to defend. The opponent has to choose which defence tactics, maybe 3-2 or M2M against patient, depends on the best shooter position (guard, forward or centre).

Due to such uncertainty on defence tactics, would Patient be a better selection? Why do managers prefer look inside?

If you have high enough ID/SB/OD on all five players, perhaps 2-3 works. But unless you have such players (assuming they exist), what the 2-3 does is helps you rebound missed shots better, and gives a small benefit defending the inside shots that are contested. Good in theory, but the downside is that it opens up passing lanes dramatically, so that the guards will be able to find an open big for an assisted shot much more frequently, which is almost certainly going to be a score. And it allows guards to be open for jump shots whenever they desire, which isn't necessarily a focus of LI but can be a killer if you manage to defend well enough to force a jumper late on the shot clock.
