I'd disagree again on the last statement. Tough on the u21 side is a good example. tons of energy, tons of interest in getting people developing talent for the u21 and some that should go to the NT get passed directly there. His tactical knowledge comes from other managers.

My baseball analogy is whatever you want it to be i guess. I think it is true to form here. You're free to visit me on the offsite, on even on the mibbit chat on the offsite, happy to debate tactics with you there for days.

I think in the future the debate thread should actually be structured as a debate. Only a couple of people should serve as the moderators asking the questions and the candidates respond and have the opportunity to address each other. It would help keep it organized and on topic.

My memory may be bad but it seems more prevalent these past seasons.

If you an Isaiah can agree to a time, I've actually moderated debates before so I could set up something probably run via Google Docs. I say you and Isaiah because it looks to be the two of you as the leading candidates, and with this being America we have this tradition of giving the people only 2 true candidates.

Edited to add that tomorrow or Saturday would work best for me to set something up so I can get it posted by Sunday for all to see before the election finalizes.

I'm so down to play checkers against you. Since you were once such a prominent manager, I look forward to your insights into this debate. What if my back right checker has 10 DRV but my opponent (say you) has 11 ID. Would you recommend buying Illinois Avenue in this situation?

The first "live" debate will take place over the course of today to be released tomorrow or Sunday. If there are specific RELEVANT questions for Isaiah or Dwight Coward BB-Mail myself or Chekreyes.

I love chek, but the fact that he is a moderator of this debate when he is very clearly biased is ridiculous to me. Isn't the whole point of a moderator is to be impartial?

Also, throwing my 2 cents in, I think we're talking way too much about tactics. Anyone can set good tactics using some planning and common sense. It's not rocket science that most teams play LI at the NT level. It's not rocket science that there will be a couple big decisions about enthusiasm that are pretty much luck of the draw if it plays out in our favor. It's not rocket science to play the players in the best game shape. It's not even rocket science to exploit other teams weaknesses. I could do all these things. Have we ever had a manager that made stupid tactical decisions other than just not setting lineups? Not that I can remember.

What the NT needs is someone with a large personality that galvanizes the community. Who were the managers during the most successful NT/U21 stretches? Jfarb, magiker, people that engaged the community, made interesting posts in this forum, got people interested in the team! That's what we need. I don't think either of these candidates are that person. Hopefully they can become that person, or that person comes along soon.
