Hello Terfu,

That's not a problem I think, though Ben is the creator of the database and only he can decide who can have access to that database. But I don't think it's a big concern. The most painful part is since Ben has been away for some time, the database maybe outdated and there are about 200 players there. Some updating work must be done.

:) That's why I ask you. What you want to be? You want to be help Singapore National team or you want to be manager national team? For me simple I wanna see Singapore team high rank, that's all. And them one more thing that database may be important, But that 200 rosters how many rosters will be over 21? how many rosters will be reached good skill in now? Finally if you want to be manage what is your plan? If you plan will be possible I will not join election. I don't want to see any more like this season Singapore National team happening. That's all. Pls help Singapore National team. Pls join and work together with us for SG.

Let me finish my typing plz. It may take me a whole night. But I can answer part of your question now. Among those 200 players, nearly none of them are above 21. Many of these 200 players, however, are not that good. This is part of my improvement plan which I'll explain later.

Compare to Naughty teacher, I would not say I'm better than him, he has experience that could help him alot, I only start serious in this game, few season ago.

Coaching wise, I'm unable to make up my mind, plan always change as new draftee get in. Which hinder my player growth, therefor I'm not really good as well. but well, thanks for thinking highly of me.

Yes, I have been analysing ways to play in sbbl, plan have been make, since most trainee are already reaching their peak. This will be easy for me, to start trying new training methods on other areas of player. Yes, pool of SGP is small, potential of player is always lower than other country, that lead me to have the idea of stop training guards, as my current few trainee are not as good as YJS.
Yup, balancing out team is very important, but to me, if team in Singapore, are unable to train their own nation player, it's pointless, no matter how success the team are.
Yup, I did analyze your team before, I like the balance, it's a nice team, but there are pros and cons for that, well, every team does have their strength and weakness as well.

Regards

Thanks! I believe I can as well, but well, It's risky and hard game, as everyone know what can SHP do.
It's like, a mini monster team vs a average team. If you get what I mean, haha.

There are a lot of questions out there, but I am slow at writing, so I’ll just try my best.

I think there are 2 main questions. First one is why I would like to become the manager. Second is how exactly I’ going to manage if I am elected. I’ll answer them 1 by 1. This time question 1 first.

Actually I have answered the first question. I said previously I am in for myself, for Ben and for the SGP community.

Firstly, I have a very dominant mother, making me an introverted person and having low self-esteem. (this is a word I learnt at universityJ) I don’t believe I am able to do anything with my own effort. Then several years ago, I learnt of this game accidentally in England. Then I started to play this game. At first I thought that a salary $7000 guy is a very good player because he is better than anyone on my given team. Then I bid $816,000 on a 22yo $8000 salary center because of his MVP potential. Not long after I knew I had done something terrible. But I have got addicted to this game. I got a new team and started everything over. At that time, I bought an SGP trainee (that’s Abu Baker) and I saw Ben’s ad looking for scouts. I thought I knew this game enough and I could help others. And most importantly, I thought joining the SGP staff would be a great challenge for myself. I wanted to see what I could do. Hong Kong is a large community and it certainly didn’t need me, so SGP seems a perfect choice for me. And my scouting career proves to be hard but rewarding before I was forced to leave. (I will talk more about my scouting career in future posts) Now I have more time and the chance accidentally comes. I want to use these 2 seasons to show the SGP community and also myself that I can do a great job.

And next, I do it for Ben. Like many others, Ben is like a big bro to me. Back a few seasons ago when I volunteered to be a scout, I just started a new team and my world ranking is around 35000, but he warmly welcomed me and taught me this and that. He never questioned my loyalty. We had a good time together and it’s really painful that I needed to go. Then he is away now, but he finds me and encourages me to continue his job. I want to do the best I can to reward his trust in me. Then 2 seasons later, he’ll certainly come back and I’ll return to my scout role if time allows at that time. (to be continued...)

And now, perhaps this is the most important reason why I candidate myself and it is also related to Ben. I share Ben’s SGP vision and I would hope that philosophy is continued. And I’m not sure STN or others have this kind of concept or not.

I think about it for a long time. Then I think I best summarize this so-called vision in 3 points:
1) the role of U21
2) the development of a team together with SGP
3) team interest vs U21 interest

If you ask me what is my main target being an U21 manager, I would not say I would bring SGP to top 4 or top 8 in the coming tournament or something like that, and I would not say I would lead SGP to move up the world rank to XX either, and I really don’t think U21 has anything to do with B3. For me, the most important purpose or meaning of leading U21 is to foster a group of semi-products who can become the cornerstone of our NT for many years with consistent training after 21. I’m not saying result is not important. I know that all of us have high hope on next season since we are the host, so result is actually important. But how do you get good results? And more importantly, how do you get good results for every season, for both U21 and NT? Constant supply of good human resources is the key and those tactics stuff, though I also know very well, is only the supplementary part. When I first joined the SGP staff, I looked through the roster and found a few players with only “star” potential and salary between $10000 to $20000. It was not good. After I became the scout, I once contacted a foreign manager and he said SGP U21 was too weak and he had no desire to train his player hard to play for U21. Then now, several seasons later, do you have the same feeling as me that SGP U21 is getting better? Just look through the roster and you can say some of them have a really bright future. Take a look at the NT roster as well. You’ll see the proportion of young players in SGP NT is much higher than some other countries, like Germany for example. AKL and PJL are starting to have roles in NT even though they are only 23 and 24. This is what Ben has always wanted to achieve as well as I in the coming 2 seasons. (I’m not taking credits for an improving U21 or NT team. Indeed, all credits to Ben, Eric and all other devoted managers) When our players get better, both our U21 and NT will get better. With consistently improving result, we will start to get recognition from the rest of the BB community. This is more important than the factual number (like world rank XX), I think. To summarize, the result of U21 is certainly important (especially for this coming season. I’m very clear that U21 can’t disappoint SGP managers) But I think result is not and should not be the sole indicator of whether the U21 staff have done a good job. (maybe suddenly a key player gets injured or the grouping is bad) To me, the most important thing is that U21 is able to supply good prospects which can serve for the NT for many years to come. This is what I call the “core value” of U21. It takes time to see the “result” and is also quite abstract as an “assessment tool”, but it is indeed important.

Haha, I ‘ve just covered point 1. Now point 2. (this is the so-called transitional paragraph so that everyone can take a breath…)
