Portugal is better than U21 and Senior Team... :-( I didn't realise a public presentation of the match, because nobody is interested in... so I won't work for nothing... it should be not my amusement, but the community interest...

On forum I (italy)speak, you speak (german), Thecippis (italy) and cholanka (italy), speak... sometimes Mcdaniel (italy)... about Cyprus only I love you Harry Kewell and JohnnyB...

No interest about NT is leads me to think of leaving as Manager at the end of the season, because I missed a point: the involvement of the community.

Cholanka says good, they are too strong, because they are more and MORE INTERESTED on learning the game... pretty nobody here is interested and it's frustrating for me...

:-)

I have been following your adventure and engagement with the Cyprus NT and Community for quite a while, ever since Pikoulas joined my team.

The way matches are being prepared and presented to the community by Thecippis and you (and cholanka) is simply extraordinary. The biggest and most successfull countries in BB couldn't ask for more.

Cyprus has 91 managed teams. This moment there are 3 teams online.

Two active members in a community of this size equals 20 in a country like Germany and 80 in a country like Italy. From a merely statistical point of view things could be worse.

I am not familiar with Cyprus. I cannot estimate the importance of language. But I would at least guess that there are some younger managers who might feel uncomfortable with English.

And I would as well guess that some are maybe a little bit intimidated by the professionalism of the NT-Management and the habits of the more experienced managers in here.

For a BB-starter hardly anything of what we exchange in here is comprehendible.

Now, the problem with my guesses is, that they will remain guesses until someone from Cyprus responds...

Yes Pallu, we prepare the match in a very attenctive way... it's what I shoud do, I think!

You don't know, but this year on every BB-Mail sent for updating there is the link for the forum.

I asked to speak about their leagues, asking about everything we can help, about players, economy, strategy, skills, staff... nobody is interested.

The community is young? Could be... I don't know... I could set a pool... nobody will answer me... but... I could try :-) I will try even this way...

a very good answer, Pallu. beyond most of the issues you talked i'd like to speak about this:

For a BB-starter hardly anything of what we exchange in here is comprehendible.

the english is our main way to communicate.. in some 3ads you find who to address in mother language, and despite of the language we NEVER deny any help to users, ask JohnnyB abut that we surely talked a lot about tactics market and players, also without thinking about the NT but focusing on his team needings...

I repeat me and Steve, as you i'm sure, have a little aged expereince in the game, otherwise we wouldn't risk a Nt adventure, and we are glad to share this to users, as we do on Help forum in itay, with friends we convince to join BB, and we are very glad to share this with cypriot user, new or older, in fact their training directly influence our coaching with NT.

the pregame and post game analysys are good way to talk about tactics.. were any user can find out something interesseing, this happens after every match in italy, we hope to realize something similar here... but no question come out so we just present our opponents and then realize what went good or wrong in the match but lots more are there to be afforded... no one seems interessed so.....

and so I keep presenting the match and asking the crazy journalist cholanka to postanalysize... Steve won't but i'm sure that some community involvement would find him willing to come back on this decision...

we will surely be there via bb-mail, or msn messenger for those who got it or want to get it (just ask via bbmail), to talk about your teams your players, your tactics, your opponents...

My mother language is the Greek. Ive tried many times to contact with some young players and the only response that i got it was from gianniefski. I have him on my msn, and i tried many times to help him to prepare his team, and how to train. Nothing!!. Basketball is not very popular here, that is strange couz the Greek NT is 1 of the best teams in the world. I ve lost the coaching job of U21 NT, but now that i see the job that the 2 italian friends are doing i am so happy about that. Unfortunately i am too old to communicate with young managers. Maybe me 30 years making me an old man for the 15 that are the most. Anyway if you have any ideas to help the community you know that i will be always there to help.

Steve, maybe u lost a battle but not the war. keep trying man

Γεια σου!

@all: I understand that it is demanding to keep being active in this thread but I am convinced that it is the best way to slowly stimulate the activity level.

i fear this is huge sad truth....

steve wrote on any topic for 1.5 seasons... he is a little disappointed and right now i don't believe he will spend time on posting his analysis... but he keeps on making them....

but i'm sure he will read every post here and response orreply to any question\issue posted.

at lest results of the Nt are a great goal he achieved together with the database... my work would be really harder without what steve made in the past
