IV.53 Weekly 5 Hot Spot
1. Arena
The best update for season 39 is the change to ticket prices. Especially with my team dropping down, I was way off on guessing ticket prices for this league. Glad that I don't have to wait until the all-star break and can change prices immediately. This will give teams a chance to up ticket prices for big games and winning streaks, or drop prices after multiple loses or games against weaker teams. I like it!
2. Bots
(a) The second part of the s39 update is strengthening the tournament. As the rounds go on, no bots should be playing each other. Everyone in this league is playing bot the first round and that trend may continue into the second round. Here's hoping that I can avoid the D1 and D2 teams until about the 4th or 5th round!
(b) Speaking of bots it looks like we have 3 computer managed teams and 2 more that may go this way in a few weeks. There are 3 on the blue side and 2 on the red side. Depending on which league you are in, that equals 7 or 8 boring games for this year.
3. 67
Points scored for Hasim Tugtekin of the Edmonton Earthquakes in game 1 on Saturday. His team only scored 114 in a 4 point win. He was 27-38 from the field while playing 46 minutes! It looks like he me be our league leading scorer for the weeks to come after that strong first game. I guess the big question is can his body hold with that high of usage. Whats your team record for points by a player?
4. 5 million
That's how much Kendrick Hamm is worth to Coach Extreme D and his Defensive Powerhouses. Hamm is 18 year old with a $3386 salary. The powerhouses could have easily won the league by putting the 5 million towards established players but it looks like he is going a different route. We will see how many years it takes for Extreme D to get his moneys worth. I know for a fact that I have never had that much money and don't remember ever seeing that big of a purchase in my league. I was shocked to see a salary of on 3k for Hamm. Hopefully I will be long gone before he reaches his potential.

Wow.. just watched the replay. Bartos with 49 points on 60 SHOTS!!!! That's crazy. Hopefully we can contain him next time.
I really expected my guards with 30k salaries to dominate yours with 5k salaries, yet I pressed and had more turnovers! Go figure.

Ill be honest, my goal is to get 20-22 wins and promote without having to win the tournament... You had me worried tonight!

Not sure why I gave up so many offensive rebounds. I was expecting your guys to get tired with FCP on D and PtB on offense.

Not even close to being out of money lol. That wasn't even half of my money spent. And y'all are sleeping on me in the power rankings ;)

I had you at 5 but when Indiana played Edmonton to a 4 point game, I switched it.
For what it's worth 6th spot is still 2nd best in your division.

And my opinion is worthless!

The league looks very competitive this season. Hoping we can potentially make the playoffs!

You've never had 5 mil before? Do you not train high lvl players? Hamm is worth a lot because he has a chance to be one of the best player in BB if I train him correctly. I can still easily buy players and win the league but I rather train Hamm. It's way easier to train in lower divisions so I like it down here. My team salary may not be scary but my team is still good because of the salary efficient and specialist that I have.

Most the guys I trained are still on my team. Gernez and Matamala were 2 of my trainees from my first season.
