I kinda get what your talking about. Because you're training your players out of position, you can't field a competitive enough roster to win the league. However, you can field an competitive enough roster to stay alive while still making money. The only problem is you can't stand the money just sitting there, and since it no longer makes sense to invest in your arena or other players/trainees, you want to do something else productive with your money. Possibly because you would be less tempting to spend it if it was doing something worthwhile.

suuure, introduce either actual financing or another random factor into the game. I think when it comes to economy the way that it is done is pretty good (although there should be financial reward for winning a league!). Bank would only make tanking more beneficial and obviously (salary floor) thats not the way the game and majority of users want to go.

I think a bank function could be interesting. It could work like a CD account does in real life. The deadline is the first game. Players can put any amount they own in the account. The money can't be touched for the whole season. At the end of the season you get the money back with 5% interest. So 1,000,000 would net you 50,000 at the end of the season. Nobody is going to get rich off of this, but it provides a way to make a little money if you truly have nothing else to do with your money.

PS: The entire amount of money can be withdrawn at any point in the season at the loss of all of the 5% interest.

Somehow though I don't think a feature like this would make you happy :D

Or, for those who have in-game money, they could add something like buying perks (they can call them team building or whatever) that actually matter.

For like a million or two or five, you could buy perks for:

* Making 3 position training equal to 2 position training
* Limit CT effect to 33% drop of enthusiasm
* Reveal potential sublevels
* Making sure that a tight margin of 65-70 minutes results an improvement in GS

Things like these, that could add some depth in the game...

1. there is already a Problem with the inbalance concerning tanking and saving enormous amounts of Money. this would only make things worse.

2. there is no inflation in BB. you are right you don't benefit of the Money you don't spent, but your Money doesn't loose its worth. unlike in the real financial world.

3. i know it is a popular tactic to fire a few Players and save Money while playing under the salary Minimum for new teams. but in my oppinion it shouldn't be promoted to start playing like this. lower leagues would be much more competitive and interessting if Players would actually invest Money and try to win. so don't implement a tool which encourages the opposite.

I have to disagree with the inflation statement.

The value of money has indeed gone up and down throughout time in BB. At one point crappy players that are selling for 100k now were sold for 500k and it wasn't abnormal to see players sell for +3million either.

Now days people have way less money unless they started back when players were sold for a lot and they saved their money.

Also,with the second teams starting we will probably see player prices go up slowly over the next couple seasons. So a bank could be a good idea to compensate for the growing prices of players and staff. Probably won't happen but it could be a good idea.
