This posting was easy to understand, so maybe i make this anotation at the wrong place ;) Especially when my posting isn't in good english, too.
About tactics, nearly every offense strategy have his strength and situtions where is it superior to other strategys(maybe except the slow tactics lowpost, patient and especially Princeton).
The difference betwenn motion and run and gun is the shot selection, with run and gun you take more 3 Point Shots then with motion but less mid distance shots. So when you have an team with good jump shooters who lacks in Jump range, i would take motion instead of run and gun.
In defence definately all tactics are usefull, and if you read the rule section about it should be clear which tactics you use best against the opponent offense.
