I'm beginning to despair of my chances of ever improving at this game. It might just be that I promoted too early and should never have been in the top division in England, but each season I feel further and further behind. Now bottom of the league and unable to win matches, even though I don't think I'm that far behind other teams in terms of ratings in matches, I can't see the way out.

In this week's matches, I don't understand why I lost this one: (6508135) and tonight's game makes even less sense: (6508135). The opposing team got into awful foul trouble and then suddenly hit a string of three pointers in the fourth quarter that defied everything else that had happened in the game. Meanwhile my team decided to let the centre take the outside shots while my guards tried driving lay-ups, ignoring the fact they have poor inside skills.

My starting five have stamina of proficient, respectable, mediocre, mediocre and average yet they're unable to hold onto a game in the fourth quarter.

Part of my problem was getting knocked out of the cup early on - after two tough games - while other teams in my division played TIE matches against bots every Thursday night. This aspect of enthusiasm really spoils the game, I think. While they were banking up enthusiasm in cup games my team were getting more and more depressed. And I can't say I blame them. Including PL and scrimmage games, I've now won only 8 and lost 20 - including my last seven games.

Up until this season I've been training 'whole team' - and getting lots of pops. My players showed dramatic improvement, and I felt like the team was holding its own in the conference. But this year, I've switched to a more 'traditional' OD training programme, and not had a pop in the two weeks since the ASG.

I'm trying to invest in my arena, and maintain decent staff, but none of that matters much if I can't win any games. Is there anyone who can point out what I'm doing wrong?

Honestly mate. I think it's obvious that you're doing a good job managing you team, but your players havent had the development time to be as good as the rest of the division (plus unlucky in the cup). You're training well (those OD pops will come and it's generally assumed that OD training is slightly slower than the others, as (in my opinion) it is one of the most important and influencial.

If i were you, i'd take the relegation, take the number 1 draft pick (which might be worth more than staying in the division anyway), and re-group in DiV for the next season. You'll feel happier as you'll be winning, you'll have easy minute distribution becuase of it, and when you go back up, you'll be a hell of a lot better.

PS. the 1st game you lost due to low inside scoring (and possibly eth differnece)
lol the 2nd one is the same but i looked at your games and you got beaten becuase that guy has a lot better team than you. He neutralised your attack and you played the wrong tactic for his outside game.

Anyway mate, good luck

both linked games are away, and the home game advantage is pretty big.

i don't look at your othr games, but if you ever play 2-3 it is an dsadvantage for you, in my eyes the advantage and disadvantage of tactics is not fully represented in ratings - so even with same defence rating your outside defense is a bit weaker.(i can not proof that)

Od is a pretty powerfull training, so it is ok when you have to wait a bit longer on the skillups, because a skill of OD is more powerfull then one in driving(which made pretty much pops in training)
