In my last two league games, my opponent "CTed" me. Combined they shot 80 free throws to my 23. In other words I was charged with roughly 4 times as many fouls as my opponent. In each case I obviously lost.
My question is, is this the intended conclusion of Crunch Time? I get that players play harder and their skills are slightly sharper but why is it true that a crunch time by one team results in a fouled out other team? Is there a defense against it? Just better bench players to step in or does it have something to do with the defensive skills of my players versus his?
Any help on understanding would be appreciated. Thanks,
