I know that it's important to get 48 minutes per player. But does it matter how they get the 48 minutes? If I play a guy at C for 30 minutes and PF for 18 minutes is that the same as playing a guy at the same position for all 48 minutes?

The answer would depend on what type of training. That is, if you're training a skill for C-PF, then the total of 48 would mean full training. If you trained a skill for one position only, then only partial training would take place.
