Assist 0.1.27
a quick walkthrough:
* if you don't have it, get java! (http://www.java.com) — version 5 or 6 required.
* download assist! (http://contentfree.netsons.org/assist/assist.zip)
* unzip it and move into the newly created directory
* start assist! by double clicking on the jar file (for "sane" operating systems) or on the batch file (yellow gear on blue-and-white rectangle, windows only)
* peruse it with the example data! (it comes from a bot)
how to get your data into assist! (this one will be 10x easier in the release version, by now we still lack some infrastructure on BuzzerBeater to make automatic download happen)
* open the folder in which you unzipped assist
* go into the xml folder
* delete the two files you'll find in there (roster_1.xml and roster_2.xml, IIRC)
* log in to buzzerbeater (hello! already here? :)
* right click on the following link, and save the file in the xml folder:

* start assist!
you're encouraged to post bug reports via bb-mail. bug reports must contain information about:
* operating system name and version
* Java version
* assist! version (it's shown in the title bar — i.e., assist! 0.1.27 will be the first public testing release)
* a way to re-trigger the bug
* a screenshot of the bug, if relevant
