I think we(players) should be able to somehow contract or buy players that are moved to "retired".

The talent issue on the TL is being compounded by not only the shrinking user base but the training system which encourages the continual production of the same type of player (i.e. 1v1F and OD heavy with minimal offensive skills).

A solution to that is to incread the number of players getting full speed training. Some numbers to consider:

40,000 users x 3 trainees = 120,000 players
15,000 users x 3 trainees = 45,000 players

Address the training issues to increase the number of players getting full speed training and a portion of those will end up back on the market. That will help new teams and old teams.
