I have a few young trainees that I want to train to become outside beasts. I am basically rebuilding and starting with 3 outside trainees two of them are 6-3 and the third one is 6-7. I am doing forward training this week to start off but should I stick with 1/1 guards to boost DR and HA equally?

Personally I would do 1v1F as it still trains DR and HA equally and a small bump in JS and IS training. Also what is the level of your Trainer? Will you be using a Youth Trainer as well? Last but not least will they be club players, U21 or NT players?

I greatly prefer forwards when I do one on one training. IS can be very cost effective on guards, especially combined with driving. If you really need the JS, you’d be better off training it directly. Plus it gets secondary boosts from outside and inside shooting so there are a lot of ways to get JS.

Thanks.....i have a simple level 4 trainer. Looks like I'll be doing forward training most of this season or start pounding OD which I'll decide after all star break. I mainly train for long term.
