Welcome to Season 42 u21s.

First up, an announcement on the team:

Congrats to all the managers with selected players. There are 6 spots left and the competition for the spots will be fierce. Probably more so that other seasons we have depth in a few positions that give us selection options.

Game shape has been a big issue week one, much more so than other seasons. We have had 3 or 4 sales of players, and players playing cup starting minutes as well as their 2 league games. Please think ahead of a plan to ensure your national representatives are kept in top order to play at their potential.

I have been frantically bbmailing individual managers to help keep the communication up. If this has not happened, send me a message and we can get a plan sorted for your player.

Captain Announcement:
With 9 World Cup games under his belt, Teo Nguyen will lead this team as the u21 Captain. Cadeo Ngo also shares high experience with 6 World Cup games experience and will be the Vice Captain.

Half time in the first u21 game for the season. (46159)

We lead Lebanon 51-41, which isn't the best score line for us, but they have a decent couple of players and our inside players are all exhausted after late night antics in Taiwan. Gibbins was monkeying about until the ugly lights came on, Macbride got so drunk he married a clown, and Frink was sent back home to Australia and will face sexual allegations with flowers and Lemurs, simultaneously I assume.

The guards had an early night and as such, are performing as they should.

The game is being played mainly as a battle between the SFs, with Rose 7-10 FG, and the Lubnan SF Hasan also on 14 pts from his 15 attempts.

Next week we have a bye. Ive secured a scrimmage with team USA. This will be an exciting challenge. Minutes so far are looking corrected so bn im hoping it was just a first week brainfart and we are all good now.

Game 2 MVPs

Solid point boosting victory against Pakistan. The bench came on and tore them apart! Great team performance.

Some spots available in the coming weeks- forward me skill updates so i know where your trainee is at.

Game 3 MVPs vs Vietnam
3- Gibbins- 16pts, 23 rebounds.
2- Rucker- 23pts, 4 boards, 4 assists
1- Nguyen- 16pts, 5 assists, 3 blocks, 3 steals.

All solid games and could have all earnt 3 votes, and others could have easily claimed rights to the votes too. Great first game from our 20yr old PG San, who opened his account with 4 blocks!

Next week is United Arab Emerites. We still have 4-5 guys who have questionable weekly minutes. I am doing my best to encourage top game shape so I can play the best players but I cant set their lineups! Please consider top game shape while your player is representing their nation- best for them and your team too. We will need these players in a few weeks to compete for a trophy.

Next up, Thailand. These guys pack a punch on the inside with Hannarong, and they have a good player to give him the ball in Pruchumchon. Hannarong has a similar salary to Gibbins/Frink, so expect a good battle down low.

Nice blowout after their key player went down during the week.

Just a heads up that I will be on travelling holidays over the next 8 weeks. Some of the spots I may be out of reception for up to a week. I will be setting lineups and tactics as usual, but may be a little less active in posts over this period. Rest assured my interest is still as normal. I will be checking the site for posts as normal where I can.
