Congratulations to the following players who have been selected as the u21 representatives:

Kandalingam Grover- Captain with 11 games experience from season 39. Grover brings amazing footwork in the low post and knows how to find the open team mate when the help defense comes over.

The first game was tonight vs Saudi Arabia (43773)
A solid lineup from Saudi Arabia with a big 3 making them competitive. With only 5 active teams they have done very well training and recruiting from such a small player pool. We won the game 112-81, but they managed some very respectable stats in our home match.

Searching hard as I can but not finding a team for a scrimmage this week. Will keep looking but its not very likely

Yeah for sure, a intra club match would be cool. Hayastan was the only country to agree to a scrimmage with us this week, but they already had a competitive game!

Game vs Vietnam was a great one, with Dimitriov out after binging at the golden arches, and Grover going down with an injury in the first minute, the team still managed to blow out opposition players with a 75pt win.

MVPs
3- McFlynn: 24pts on 75%FG, 19 boards, 3 assists.
2- Richardson: 23pts, 4 boards, 3 assists, 3 steals.
1- Nayyar: 6 assists, 5 steals, 4 fouls, 3 boards, 2 brainfarts, 1 TO.

Just a reminder to managers as we progress through the season, we need to focus on game shape by keeping our u21 players under 70 minutes, and to keep in touch with training plans.

A nice close game tonight until the last quarter where we stepped up. Japan had some class in that side, and took it to us.

MVPs
3- Grover. 25pts on 12-14FG shooting!, 20 boards. 3 assists, 2 blocks. Huge game.
2- Dimitriov- 21pts, 15 boards and good %
1- Sage- not sure how he got 48mins( I swear I put Unzeitig as the starter), but he did well. 12pts, 10 boards and 4 assists.

Next week is Malaysia. Should be a battle. The communication is generally quite good so lets keep that rolling ready for the 2nd pool stage.

A nice consolidating game to lock away top spot in Pool A. Some great movement and outside shooting from the team showing outside ability.

Early blowout vs Iran sends Australia into top spot of Second Phase

A brilliant team display projects Australia into top spot of the new pool. However, danger looms as the might of Philippines snatch a game off Taiwan. It seems the most important game in this second phase will always be the next one... On the plus side the team is shaping up very well week in, week out.
