Hi,

Apparently I need to be at or above the salary floor.

With only $300 000 in account I am unsure of how to spend up to reach the level required.

Here is where I sit at the moment

Total Player Salaries: $ 59 407
Player Salaries Floor: $ 100 649

Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

You don't 'need' to be at the salary floor, but you will have to pay $100 649 every week whether you have that in salaries or not. You're probably not going to contend for a championship, so you're probably better off to ignore the salary floor and wait until you can afford the players you need to compete. With a win/loss ratio of 10/3 you're probably not going to gain by spending that $300k on a 30+ year old who will decrease in value.

If I was you id try and find an older player around 40k salary. Otherwise it is just going to waste. Should be able to pick one up for under 300k, he just won't be very salary efficient and possibly will drop skills fast.

The problem is the $40k veteran with poor salary efficiency wasn't going to help his cause. He was always going to win a lot of games with the roster he had, but investing his whole $300k in a veteran wouldn't be enough to help him promote.

The only thing that would have happened is he would have a $300k investment rapidly decreasing in value without improving his situation.

I understand. Maybe I was seeing the 40k per week below salary floor as 40k lost per week. I've been in the same div 3 my whole time in BB and being under the salary cap would mean not making the playoffs. Hopefully heading up a div for next season.

Sadly there is no incentive to finish second in this game. If you are $40k under the cap winning 18 games a season, you are still better off than being $100k over the cap and losing the championship series. Especially if you spend your entire protit on 32+ year old players.

If I was the OP, I'd invest in arena and trainees (with at least a level 4 trainer). The cost of promoting out of his league is minimal, but pointless if he will demote again next season. Spending money on seats and traìning players will only bring more profit.
