Welcome to the u21 team for season 38. Id like to start by calling for managers to assist with tracking future prospects with me.

The job description: Make weekly contact with managers and record skills as they progress. Liase with u21 management to keep us informed of the progress.
Looking for 18yr old, 19yr old and 20yr old scouts. Please BBmail me if interested!

The season 38 team is as follows:
PG: Darcy/ Sawcer/Barassi
SG: Zenov/Lochhead/Barassi
SF: Zecai/ Wenyun/ Kiranmayi
PF: Do/
C: Gillies/ Joseph/ Lockett

The captaincy was offered to my boy Than Do with 16 u21 games under his belt already. But seeing as he is mine, he declined and recommended Clinton Gillies (12 u21 matches) for the job. Well done Mickyster on another u21 player, and a captain for us this season.

Each manager has an individual training plan bbmailed to them for discussion, its simply a plan to get the best out of the team this season, and hopefully aligns with getting the best out of your player. More than happy to hear your plans and try and work something if it is different to your plans!

There are a number of players close to selection that will be considered throughout the season. Please keep me informed of skill pops if your player was close to selection (Morrissey, Champaneri, Shoenmaker, Goggin, Paterson, Turill, Cahill, Leijer, and Gatti). These guys all offered something and will be monitored for the final 6 spots if selection is warranted. Id love to get as many players up to standard as possible to give us more selection options and flexibility for lineups.

thanks to Ezlife and Mickyster for offering to assist in mentoring young prospects. My aim is to try and increase the number of trainees Australia produces from draft day. So go on, grab an aussie and train him up Both these guys have u21 training experience and know what it takes. Older trainees are still in need of assistance, so for now bbmail me with up and coming prospects. Id love weekly emails (after training updates) from the quality trainees that are likely to make the minimum standards.

Tonight was our first s38 match vs Labanon. (41388) A nice 73pt win.
MVPs

Great start, lets get some discussion with managers to get the best out of this team!

Ta. And best of luck to your nations season also.

Our match vs Japan was relatively one sided. Gillies went down with an injury relatively early, and Lockett thrived with the opportunity!

Krazy 1pt loss tonight after being up 11pts with 2:35 to go. Some questionable substitutions took place at that point, including our main offensive threat. By the time they subbed back on, we were behind! Two great shots to win it in the final seconds but neither fell in. Not too sure the loss means anything other than we will be in Taiwan's pool now instead of China's. Both look like very hard teams.

MVPs
3- Do
2- Zecai
1- Joseph

Not sure what happened to my last write up, but it doesn't appear to be in the thread...
Ill try and redo MVPs (hope they are the same!)

Game vs South Korea
3- Do
2- Zecai
1- Darcy

Game tonight vs Thailand
3- Zenov
2- Zecai
1- Lochhead

Some seriously good statlines missing out on votes tonight. Barassi going perfect shooting for 21pts, Do with another double double, plus assists and blocks, Weynun 16pts above 50% FG% and 3 blocks. IT was a big blowout lead by the starters getting us off to a 36-3 scoreline! Incredible start.

Big games have started, and the blowouts will disappear from here on in. Please if you have a player in the side, consider minutes for your player, we need good game shape to put our best side on the court.

Go Aussies.
