I was under the impression that it was impossible to go into the red by buying a player. Today I've bid on a player and while I haven't bought him yet, and now my available cash after bids is showing a negative figure. Of course this is my own fault for not double checking, and isn't anything that worries me anyway.

However, what I would like to know is, how far would I be able to go into the red to buy a player, or has something strange occured here?

Its likely I'll be outbid anyway, but I'd be interested in knowing if this is normal.

I know I only posted ten minutes ago, but I think I've worked out what happened.

I had a B3 game start at 6:05 GMT, I made the bid after the game had started, but I had not yet received the money for winning the game (I was not aware at the time I was going to win), but I think even though the funds were not on my economy page, when I bid they must have been officially included, so I was able to bid more money than I actually had at the time.

Therefore anyone involved in a cup or B3 game can find out if they win or not by bidding more money they have on a player. (Do so at your own risk, I'm not really recommending such a thing)

I am not sure if this still works, but a long time ago, the cup/B3 money is given to the team immediately after the game started (or 15 minutes before the game starts). It is then taken away after a short time and given back after the game. So you can refresh your economy page to find out if you win. If I recall correctly one B3 champion (Venomous Scorpions?) was able to find out he won B3 using this.

I will be posting your "lucky discover" in Argentina forum, if you don't mind.

I don't mind at all.

I actually didn't know it happened with arena income. I've always waited till after games to find out if I can afford a player.

I think that was changed. I always had to resist the temptation to check during Cup games, but I don't believe that works any more.
