Greetings.
In my last Tournament game something unusual happened. I was going to play a weaker team so I decided to rest some of my best players. Still I included one of them as a started and another one as as a backup, just to be safe. I use the usual tactics ("Strictly Follow Depth Chart" and "Sit Them") which normally result in ~30-40 minutes played by the starters and ~10-20 to the backups.
In this particular game, the backups were simply ignored and remained in the bench for the entire game, the starters player all the 48 minutes, which never happened before (that I remember).
So, I was winning by 18 in the start of the 4th quarter, but end up losing by 1 point after (probably) a physical melt down of my starters after playing all 48 minutes.
My question is why the completely different outcome of the game engine in terms of playing time almost ignoring the backup players? Was there any recent change in the game engine that I'm unaware? Did anyone ever had a similar situation?
The game in question:
