Welcome to yet another week of FML Radio (party)

This week we would like to point out that there will also be a global episode where we sit down with three time BBB winner LA-Saur0n. So "Chek" that out in the global forum!

We have a really good lineup for the local channel as well. Lately BuzzerBeater has seen some nice aesthetic improvements including the addition of Team Records on each teams history page. The feature is nice, but it doesn't quite measure up to this thread in Global: (262636.2)

Here to talk about his contribution to the manager kept list of BB Records is the man himself - moflaffle!

-----
Chek: Welcome to FML Radio moflaffle!

mof: Thanks for having me!

Chek: Tell us a big about yourself!

mof: I got the dough, got the flow down pizat. Platinum plus the thizat. Dangerous on trizacks. Leave your ass flizat.

Chek: How did the BB Records thread in global start?

mof: I wasn't around for the beginning of it, but when I first started participating on the forums on BB, the world records thread was one of my favorite threads to keep an eye on. Soon enough I started posting in there with my findings. Of course during these times people would argue over whether something was actually a record or not, so I decided to go through all of the world record posts, which had already passed 1000 in number. I marked down the records and kept the links to them, put it all into one post, and the rest is history.

Chek: Why do you only record records that are "Modern Era"?

mof: I remember reading in the original thread that the game engine was very glitchy back [before Season 5], and looking at some of the games, it was quite apparent. I can't link the box score for some reason but there was a cup game where a PG had 47 offensive rebounds in 23 minutes. That same guy averaged 1 offensive rebound per game in 23 minutes for the season. Even the BB's were with me on this one haha

Chek: With all the teams that have set BuzzerBeater records are there any managers in particular that stand out?

mof: Hmmm, that's a tough one. You know, come to think of it, I recall shikago setting a few records in his day. Him and his 63 person roster consisting mainly of dads/grandpas. Yeah shikago stands out a bit. Let's bring him in!

Shikago: Thanks Mr. Moff.

Chek What? Uh... ok, same question... I guess.

Shikago: The legendary Ilmar Castell, owned by Peluin (it's probably time to stop owning black people, Peluin) was someone who came to mind for me. I remember him getting a -1.5 rating & not being sure if it was just a glitch or actually attainable. Ilmar was also one of the first players with 0.0 points per 100 shots as well, IIRC

And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention former GM Jelme, who set a BuzzerBeater world record for having the most heart. <3 Some say heart isn't something one can measure. But try telling that to his doctors. Doctors who subsequently diagnosed him with cardiomegaly

Chek: Shikago, you hold the BB record for most FT's missed in a game, lowest player rating in a game, most AND least points in a game, and many more. Why all the horribleness?

Shikago: Just moments ago Niski broke his own record for lowest player rating (-2.5) & most FTs missed in a game (47). With our team choosing to miss a record 77 FTs in total.

Brick by brick, it's all about deconstructing the oppressive BB hegemony & opposing their institutional desires. Being decolonial & radical in the face of cis-gendered patriarchal gatekeepers like Hrudey. Players like Niski & Vardis Sourpis(s) vehemently reject BB assimilationist practices as well as the hierarchical heteropatriarchal racial nationalism endemic in BB. Imperialistic constructs must be unlearned. #SolidarityNotImperialism

Chek: Wow. Ok. Well to the both of you, thank you for putting so much work into growing the BB community via the Records Thread. Moflaffle, if you could have lunch with three other users in BB excluding myself and Shikago who would they be and why?

mof: Gotta start with adchester. I've been talking to this guy for years on BB and haven't met him in real life yet. Can't wait to dunk on him some day. Next has to be A-Dub because I just wanna snuggle with him. And then the last person is definitely going to be BB-Edju because he gets angry easily, which is perfect when you consider how great of a trolling duo adchester, A-Dub and I would be. We'd probably get at least three "I'll cut your nose" remarks out of him. It would great.

Chek: Alright, last question: If you could see one change implemented in BB what would it be?

mof: I'd like to see a higher concentration of talent in each draft class. Maybe I'm just greedy in wanting this, but it would be nice to see more than just a handful of trainable prospects in each draft. I don't think the skill limits on draftees need to be raised at all, we could just use a weight on the system to make respectable more likely than atrocious. Additionally, maybe the draft could be adjusted so that an average draft class has a third of its prospects with at least PAS potential. Maybe I'm just being greedy though.

Shikago: I think BB should focus on the pageantry of basketball first and foremost. So I propose spending all future revenue from supporter subscriptions & utopia on creating an elaborate halftime show generator. Eventually making the actual basketball portion of BB secondary & just something new users sit through in order to showcase their creativity during halftime.

mof: I just gotta say thanks to Chek again for the interview and thanks to shikago for making this interview amazing haha.
------

Big thanks to our two guests this afternoon. Shikago has done some truly amazing things in this game. Horrible, yes, but amazing. Also moflaffles work in the Records Thread has really helped add another cool dimension to the BB community.

Like was already stated, I'm hoping to have a Global episode ready in the next day or two, as soon as I get one last response from LA-Saur0n of KK Mordor so be sure to chek that out. Thanks for tuning in and supporting your favorite BB Radio Station! If you have an idea for a show let me know and you could see it live on FML Radio.

This interview sucks! Moff, hurry up and do a curtain call post so I can give you zero +1's.

Edit: now that I actually read half the interview...perhaps I was too quick to judgment: You brought in Shikago? Double whammy!

Edit2: Alright, I just read the whole interview, now I can give a proper response: Firstly, I thought Adchester and Moffy-pooh were real life friends. You two had me fooled. Such a cute couple. Secondly, this interview has shined a new light on the way I view Moff...I would spoon him so hard.

Pop quiz. Is the group below a trio or a foursome?

Get the adjustable outdoor hoop ready: Two sweaty dudes, full contact, balls-to-face dunkage in the front yard...I'm there.

Yes, but let's be clear, you react the same way to ISIS propaganda videos, except they're usually easier to understand than the dubster.
