I was looking at my draft points today, realised I was probably never going to use them again and thought...
...wouldn't it be cool if I could sell them. Even better, what if we could auction them off to the highest bidder in the same way we do players?

Just think...the draft is approaching, you have a chance to get a top 1-3 draft pick and you realise you didn't buy enough points during the season to scout in depth. You have a limited window and you miss it due to a lack of points. What if you could buy some? How would that change your ability to draft more successfully?

I've never read any thread where this has been suggested before. What do people think?

I got mixed feelings about this.

First of all this could be used to transfer money between clubs - always opens another door for cheating.

On the other hand there are times when some extra scouting might be needed, so I would love to have the possibility buy some information...

So... If this happens it should not be able to auction the points - maybe just sell them at a fixed exchange rate where the ROI is zero or even negative (like with x% discount), then again... who would do this...

I don't see any problem with your idea. In fact, it would be very interesting to see what people is willing to pay for those points. Not in my priority list, but a cool idea.

That's a pretty creative idea but there are a lot of things to fix before they put time and resources into a change like that.

I think we should be able to sell draft points, but not by auctioning them off to other teams. We could sell the draft points for about 2500$ each.

how would this open another door for cheating it is the exact same thing as actioning off players exept with draft points. No you need money or action points sell/buy them off the store.

I'm strongly against this.

earn them yourself.
If this was done i would've auctioned off my draft points every season i played since i never looked to draft, I ended up wasting my points tbh. would've been like 30-40 points i had built up if i saved them. Auction that off for a handsome price, my team has a strong advantage.
So no, i'm against it.

I see perpete's point, but I'm really thinking no.

whats the long term problems with this (me thinking out loud here)

could it increase the tanking problem we currently have?
what about leagues with bots?
Could we buy them from different divisions or just within our own division?
