I joined Buzzerbeater about more than a year ago with some of my buddies from University. The four of us created our own accounts and kept a high level of engagement during the first two an a half seasons. After a while, it became difficult to maintain the same level of engagement knowing that we had 11 to 15 days off between seasons and some games were schedule with three or four days off. Also, when wanting to sell a player it would take three days... After a short conversation with some of my friends I learned that two of them no longer planned on logging in, but who is it really to blame?, I asked. Well, just like any other fantasy league and online game out there, my friends wanted to be engaged in the game as much as possible and unfortunately given the schedule and lack of activity around the game it forces some to forget about Buzzerbeater. My mere suggestion to the owner and programmers of this website is if you want to monetize this game and grow , make engagement your number one priority. Make it more accessible to trade players, grow your prospects; perhaps, create a d-league where you can send your prospects. I am sure there are a thousand ideas out there to make this game more realistic and engaging. The downfall is that it has been more than 12 months and no changes have been made.

Goodbye.

Heads up. Changes have most certainly been made.

I think something as simple as a say s small bonus for training each day you log in could improve engagement. It doesn't have to be over the top, just a small token.. heck with training you could just claim to give a bonus and not even do it. (Kidding, kind of).

Uhm Hattrick has tournaments though and technically you could play a game nearly every day. Wouldn't it be possible with the current engine to schedule private matches at your leisure (but with some limits of course) if you are a supporter? I understand the logic of 1 type of event per day (Private Leagues on friday, league 2 days a week, Cup on Thursday, NT and U21 on Monday, B3 on Wednesday ecc), but is there any deeper reason why friendly games cannot be scheduled in other days?

Especially without an autobid there is a need to be somewhat active. A team you are playing could have purchased a player, there's forums and a lot of other things to get involved with. This game is a living entity.

I'm not saying you should trick people per say, just that giving people a reason to want simply sign in once a day wouldn't be excessive.

I completely disagree with the idea that people aren't interested in online basketball sims, Franchise modes are big in the 2k realm... and although the approach is different I think BB if it were more engaging could attract a wide audience without the need of a complete overhaul (outside of the potential app of course).
