Hi,

I think BB has matured to the point where u25s have little chance of playing for an NT outside of micronations.

An U25 or U24 age group competition would keep these players engaged in the NT scene.

Hi,

I already made a suggestion that's similar to yours in this topic: (262750.1).

The title of the topic is for a U-23 national team, but after some discussion in that thread we came to the conclusion that a U-24/U-25 would be a better option!!

Glad to hear that someone else also has the same suggestion as me!!

Not a bad suggestion at all. In my opinion there are two very strong arguments backing for this kind of creation, and quickly considering zero to resist.

1. National teams are/should be one of the more interesting things in this game that bring additional value and interest in otherwise rather so inactive mode of game, where you basically have only 2-3 events a week in games and practice update once a week as things to look forward to.
2. Developing players along with competing is what makes managers to start and come back to this game. Getting that prospect in your first draft is oh so very exciting in the beginning until player turns 20/21. At this point, you have already trained your player to your best abilities and it is time to see whether you have done good enough job for him to get a spot in the u21 or not. It does not even matter whether you have, because even if you did, there is another long stretch of time to wait until this very same player gets to the age where there is even a possibility to reach a level where he could challenge for the national team.

In other words, I understand that some might immediately think of u25 for example as a dull choice, especially if the comparable object used is the "real life", where it would not seem sexy or interesting. But in a game, a very tremendous one, I would think hard and long for any possible opportunities to further challenge AND reward the managers for all the time they have put in developing players. In best case scenario, maybe managers would be even more patient with this developing process, and who here can say, that having even one player in a national team level does not raise your interest in the game in overall at least a little bit?

I truly believe that there could be demand for such an in-between national team, because especially with the more "developed" or active countries, where the national teams have more and better players, the most talented 22- to 25-year old players are not competing on any international stage right now.
Here is hoping for greater minds to step in to this good suggestion and to see, can we go somewhere with it.

They would not be on two different NT. Either U21, U25 or the senior team. It's up to the NT coaches to do what they want at that point and if they disagree, first come, first serve.

Nothing glaringly wrong with first come first serve, but I'd have thought NT should have priority. I think its debatable though in the case of u25 and u21 which would get priority though, so first come first serve actually has some merit.

It would certainly suit those Superstar and MVP U21 studs that go forgotten once they finish their junior endeavours.

Or those players that don't make the U21 squad because they're being trained differently. With 24 or 25 you can have a decently rounded SF - in the U21 that's almost impossible ... so I'm completely for this new U25-team
