Self-explanatory title. However, I'll only be doing the top 10 or so.
1. West Lawn Mowers (12-1) - PPG: 94.5 (6th), PAPG: 62.8 (1st), NetRtg: +31.7 (1st)
The team with by far the best defense in the league shuts out opponents day in and day out. They've beaten every team above .500 they've played so far. Even if they're not posting extraordinary offensive numbers, being the most efficient team by +18 higher than any other team does. This is the team to beat.
2. Oregon Archangels (11-2) - PPG: 105.8 (1st), PAPG: 77.1 (3rd), NetRtg: +28.7 (2nd)
One thing that Oregon does really well is outscore opponents. They're also one of only three teams to rank top 5 in both offense and defense (the others being Portland and Blackgate).
3. Rockford Raptors (12-1) - PPG: 101.2 (2nd), PAPG: 86.6 (6th), NetRtg: +14.6 (4th)
The best shooting team in the league. They also like to pass the rock a lot, as they lead the league with 29.4 assists per game. Their defense is suspect, however, so they'll need to pick up the slack if they're aiming for a title run this season.
To be continued.
4. Blackgate Exiles (10-3) - PPG: 97.3 (4th), PAPG: 85.2 (5th), NetRtg: +12.1 (5th)
Third in assists, Third in FG%, best FT shooting team in the league. Those free throws will come in handy during the Conference Finals.
5. Portland Bullets (11-2) - PPG: 97.4 (3rd), PAPG: 75.3 (2nd), NetRtg: +22.1 (3rd)
They may be first in the Big 8, but that's only because they've had an easy schedule thus far and haven't played the top two Great 8 teams. Oregon and West Lawn Mowers? They're up next. Expect 2 losses and a definite drop in net rating.
NEXT ON THE LIST:
6. Mitsubishi Red Devils (7-6)
7. Mashers (7-6)
