So the brackets are set, let's see what we got.
(1)Southside Renegades vs (4)Blackgate Exiles
This game figures to be a total and complete blowout. The first meeting between the two was an 86 point victory for Southside Renegades and this one will be no difference. I've got Hogenkamp going for 25+ and a 60 point victory for Southside to clinch their spot in the semifinals.
(2)Whirlpool Sharks vs (3) UVA Wahoos
This one's gonna be a little more interesting. The Whirlpool Sharks come in only having lost 3 games, 2 to Southside Renegades. They've got one of the leading scorers in Salza Vicarra coming in at 18.2 PPG and a double-double machine in John Patrick Barrera. UVA, meanwhile, has lost a few more games, but have the 3rd leading rebounder and a good passer in Moron. This game could be decided on tactical decisions and GDP, so it'll be interesting to see what each manager goes with. Whirpool Sharks has won the last two games between the two though, and with HCA, I think they pull it out in a really, really close game. The Nave-Jeffrey PF battle could be absolutely crucial.
In the other conference
(1)Rockford Raptors vs (4)Mitsubishi Red Devils
This conference is going to be a crapshoot, and it starts with a really interesting game at the 1 vs 4 matchup. Rockford Raptors have the twin towers of Dollman and Palomeque, who each average a double-double. They'll be very hard to contain. However, if anyone's fit to do it, it's the Red Devils. They've got their own American twin towers of U21 player Ben Watkins and young Raymond Lodgson, both at or over 7'0" tall. This series has been split at 1-1 this year. The frontcourts will be basically even, so we have to look at the backcourts to decide this one. The 1 and 2 spots look even as well, so the key matchup will be Xiong vs whoever the Red Devils put at the 3, whether Read, Stovall, or another. Xiong's skills with HCA makes me give the edge to Rockford Raptors in a tight one.
(2)West Lawn Mowers vs (3)Mashers
These guys come in with identical records. They've got a lot of scorers all over the place. The West Lawn Mowers are one of the best perimeter defense teams in the league, and with Mashers running a lot of Motion, that could backfire for them very quickly. I'm not sure this'll be as close as the others ones, depending on the tactics that are run. I've got West Lawn Mowers fairly easily to set up a showdown with whoever wins the other tossup.
