Now that we are over halfway past the season, let's look at the top teams from 1-16
1. Phoenix Fury: 15 games and 15 wins, the Fury have looked unstoppable this year. Led by C Jed English and newly-acquired SG Donald Wahl, this is the team to beat. They lead the league in PPG.
2. Beloit Dynamo: With a 13-2 record, the Dynamo lead the league in Points Allowed per game. This team looks like it will be meeting the Fury in the championship game. Led by an all-star frontcourt of SF Paul Wynn, PF Donald Chamberlain, and S23 MVP C Jared Carnes, look for this team to make a deep run in the postseason.
3. Bay Area Blazers: Sitting at a 12-3 record right now, they reside in 2nd place in the Big 8 Conference. Although lacking a superstar, they provide a solid rotation capable of defeating anybody.
4. Caution: Sitting at 12-3 at the moment, this team is more than capable of defeating everybody. Led by C James Giwa, look for this team to give the Fury a run for their money.
5: Chelsea USA: Rounding out the top 5 is Chelsea USA, looking good at an 11-4 record. On paper, this is the best team in the conference. With a solid rotation of players, this team could challenge for the championship. However, do they have the depth to compete?
6: Legacy One: At 11-5, Legacy One is an interesting team. Led by superstar Harvey Bray, this team could challenge for a spot in the finals.
7: Dundalk DoubleDribblers: Sitting at a mediocre 8-7, this team is fighting for the final spot in the postseason for the Great 8 Conference. Although they could pull a few surprises, they look to be on a collision course to meet a buzzsaw in the Fury.
8: Golden SW: Sitting at a below .500 7-8, Golden SW is fighting for the final spot in the postseason in the Big 8 Conference. However, with the best player sitting at $12k and very limited bench depth, this team looks like it won't be competing too much this season.
9: Southwood Bulls: Sitting at 6-9, this team is in 5th place in the Big 8 Conference. However, with a player rotation of 7 players, expect this team to just miss out in the race for 4th place.
10: Mitsubishi Red Devils: Also at 6-9, the Red Devils are in 5th place in the Great 8 Conference. However, with 1 player over $10k, this team doesn't seem to have the firepower to compete for a postseason bid.
11: Whirlpool Sharks: At 5-10, this team hasn't shown much game this season. Along with the fact 1 player on the 7-player team is under 33, this team has no potential to compete in the near future either.
12: West Lawn Mowers: At 4-11, this team has almost no shot at making the postseason now. However, with good training pieces at young ages, this team has good potential to compete in future years.
13: JCD Eagles: Also at 4-11, JCD is 7th in the Big 8 Conference. Although their depth is lacking, there's good potential to be competitive in future seasons.
14: Midwest Bulldogs: At 3-12, this team may very well be relegating to D. V next season, and has little potential to get much better with its current roster.
15: NakedSwanpRats: At 2-13, this team just hopes to stay in D. IV next season. A newer team, let's hope they can transform SF Duane Bacon into a stud.
16. Quick Aint Fair: At 1-14, this team will probably not win another game, and this relegate to Division V. Created last week, I hope they don't get too frustrated with this season and let the team bounce to another team. A good pick-up in Toze Gregorio with good potential will help this team down the road with the right training.
