Aside from when a player with high upside has an atrocious rating, is this skill worth training??? If it is, how much is recommended???

respectable is good enough if he has a dedicated backup on your bench. getting below Average and you'll lose out on more rebounds and lose balls, have more turnovers than you should. You wont see it affect shooting nearly as much as it effects the rest of their game.

If you want to play 5-6 guys huge minutes, they need to have high stamina or they're just not going to perform up to their capabilities. If you're going to create a 10 player deep roster with solid back-ups it becomes less important.

I find teams in the lower leagues, myself included when I was there, are far less likely to create deep benches because of the cost so I placed a much higher emphasis on stamina back then.

An up temp offense such as RNG will rapidly drain an opposing defenses stamina. If your stamina is low to begin with by the 3rd qtr..... your cooked.
Even if you deploy a shallow lineup respectable should be good enough. ... some prefer mediocre because the minutes seem to distribute better overall for your team.
