The answer is likely no, but I was wondering if there was a large repository of data that could be drilled into to look at shot location/type distribution.

I was hoping to find what the average distribution of shots is for 3PT, 2PT JS, DR and IS with enough detail to be able break it down by offensive strategy, player positions, and maybe division or defensive strategy. Even just an enormous data dump would be fine by me.

I know in the "Princeton tactic description is incorrect" thread, wozzvt made reference to collecting data, but that's all I've ever seen that even came close to what I'm looking for. Seen at: (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/Forum/read.aspx?thr...)

Currently using a combination of the analysis tools at (http://www.buzzer-manager.com) and the advanced stats tools at (http://bb-usa.net/), but it's going to be cumbersome to put together any large amount of data.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

It's not of much use unless you have supporter and can therefore copy&paste the play by play, but... (178926.1)

It's a very useful tool breaks down the games in great detail as long as you have supporter. Unfortunately though the data it needs is unavailable if you don't have supporter.

I once used it to discover that centres don't need all that much JS or JR to hit threes if the opposing centre lacks OD. Here's my thread on it if you want to see for yourself: (221742.1)

If you're on the USA offsite, look for a thread called "Data Dump" and it has a breakdown of percentages of shot types taken by position for the different tactics. I refer back to it occasionally but usually more for the defensive matchups for the various zones.
