If a team goes bot, and there is a young (18-20 year old) high potential player on their roster that is less than $10k in salary, does that player become retired, or does that player go on the Transfer List?

Thanks. I had wondered if an U21 or NT could "save" the player from retirement because I had seen 18 year olds being selected to U21 teams. But, what happens after they're selected to the U21 team and saved from retirement? Do they get listed on the TL?

They go to the TL as free agents.
