I'm sure this will come off a bit shortsighted, but I'm pissed I lost this game in the Cup semifinals. I don't know how with those respective rebounding ratings that he wins the offensive rebounding by 21-6. Related to the offensive rebounding, he manages 92 shots to my 74, along with 10 extra foul shots. Those 30 foul shots are from 9 actual shooting fouls (3 on 3pt shots), and 15 off-ball fouls (5 of which were called on my top player causing him to foul out).

And all of this would be totally okay if my team hadn't blown a 12 point lead with 5 minutes to play, 8 point lead with 2 minutes to play, a 6 point lead with a minute left, and a 3 point lead with 30 seconds left and the ball. His team, which was 1-21 on 3pt attempts going into the last 2 minutes, goes 4-4 during that time. Finally, to boot, when I need a 3pt shot to tie, the engine decides to take out my two best remaining 3pt shooters, and then calls an offensive foul to end the game.

Again, I know this is all a rant, but it's ridiculous I caught this many **** breaks in a major game like this.

While it looks like your starting 5 are slightly better, he had quite a bit more depth in terms of team than you did. Also the general GS of his players seems to be better than yours. He also played Base offence which I would assume led to more 3 pt attempts (including drawing the foul) and his defensive ratings seemed to be better than yours slightly :S

Considering it was a neutral court and you played the same ethusiasm levels, it looks like you would typically win this game. Unfortuantely the game engine isn't an exact science.

Pretty sure I'd be just as frustrated as you are given the same circumstances.

As in my cup loss, a lot of this could just be poor luck. the game substitutions in the last two minutes, and however, is more annoying. I've had games where I was tied in the last 2 minutes and the coach keeps in the backups who are significantly poorer than the starters. It's only common sense that you call a timeout and get the starters back in.

Too bad it is a well known fact:

Coach intelligence: atrocious (low)

If you use SFDC with starter/reserve, you can expect a good amount of time there will be a 32/16 to 36/12 minute distribution.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Sure, just add it to the list of "This is a simulation not the real thing and you have to adapt to it." Fair enough.

Oh I know, he's built up a tremendous team (I'm 5-11 against him lifetime), and I'm not even remotely upset about the loss in general as much as the manner in which it happened. It's just frustrating that so much poor luck hits my team in a game I felt I should've won under normal conditions, the 21-6 offensive rebounding margin in particular. The depth bit certainly is important, but I play 7 guys all better than "respectable" stamina, and I haven't had a problem late in games to this point. It's frustration is all.
