I have the first finals game today, against Squares(33249). I was just wondering if I should use Playoff Normal or Playoff Crunch Time.

Here's what I think: (236531.1)

I agree. I think you are probably outmatched, since you're both likely at max enthusiasm. So your opponent will likely PON, PON, POCT. If I were you, I would either try to steal Game 1 with a POCT, Full Blank, LCD (and then hope for the best in Game 3), or concede the finals, PON Game 1, and then POCT Game 2 to ensure a Game 3 and the extra income.

Hey guys i didnt want to start a new thread for this. I stole game 1 in my finals with less effort than my opponent, who also had HCA. i was wondering if it was wise to PON game 2 and save up enthusiasm, knowing that my opponent will probably POCT, and therefore will be out of gas for game three. is this wise?

From what i've read.... The playoff game 3 is the day afetr playoff game 2. So there's not much time for team enthusiasm to drop if he does the Crunch Time on you on game 2. his enthusiasm game 3 will still be solid-ish...

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I would think it's the opposite
the biggest drop is right after the game so..
There wouldn't be enough time to recover from it
also, nothing personal but its best to leave advice like this to those who know for sure

It drops more than it would the next day and the day beyond, if that's what you mean. But it is still only one day to drop - while normally after a Sunday match there are the updates on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, which give three days for it to drop, with the second and third finals game it's just one drop. So a PON in the second game is massive because you get the significant boost to enthusiasm with only one day of it dropping back down.

So... That would make me correct... And nothing personal but make you someone to not be giving me advice either?

So enthusiasm loss over time is always proportional to how far you are away from 5 enth. What changes is how much enth is consumed in a game. POCT acts like regular Normal in that enthusiasm drops as if there were no game. PON acts like regular TIE in that it adds enthusiasm. Now usually you have a few days between games which diminishes the separation you get from having an effort mismatch (since the team with higher enth will lose enth more quickly). But since game 2 and game 3 are on consecutive days, you get more separation out of the effort mismatch than any other time in the season.
