I will be running for the NT Coach position here in the USA.

My campaign will center on three key platforms:

#1 My experience in managing my club team at the highest level of the USA league, including the economic and personnel development of the team, is pretty much nearly unrivaled in the USA. I have been able to defeat teams with better personnel by the use of extensive scouting and tactical deployment, which will be very important at the NT level where the top teams will have similar strength in the personnel department.

#2 To have the strongest team possible, training is key. To this end, as NT Coach, I would be disseminating information and advice about optimal training strategies to anyone in the USA that wished to receive such information. Any team in the USA can develop NT level players, and having the best training strategy will not only make the USA NT very powerful but will also improve the quality of play in the USA league as a whole. The stronger we are as a league, the more fun and challenging the game is, and the better we will be represented on the world stage.

#3 Teamwork. As NT Coach, I would certainly be inviting any ideas, suggestions, and advice from the USA community. This is our team, and although the final decision rests with me, I cannot be so arrogant to believe that one mind is better than a thousand minds pulling in the same direction. The old saying "united we stand, divided we fall" has never been more appropriate.

I really do believe I am the best candidate for the position as NT Coach, and I hope that you feel the same way.

A couple of questions:

1. Can you cite a couple of instances of you being "able to defeat teams with better personnel by the use of extensive scouting and tactical deployment" ?

2. Would you have some, for lack of a better term, "assistant coaches" that would also play a decent role in your managing of the NT (such as scouting or player trackers, etc), or would your only help from the outside come from whatever assorted suggestions and advice that would come from the forums?

(545752) – playoff win against a team that had blown me out the previous week
(483885) – blowout win over the eventual national champion
(797820) – semi-final domination. Yes, this was on a CT against a Normal, but holding one of the best offensive teams in the world to 58 points by using my best inside guy at SF for defensive purposes was huge as well.

2. Would you have some, for lack of a better term, "assistant coaches" that would also play a decent role in your managing of the NT (such as scouting or player trackers, etc), or would your only help from the outside come from whatever assorted suggestions and advice that would come from the forums?

I'd want some assistants to help with scouting, tracking players, that sort of thing, as this is just simply too important for the community to have one person handle.

That said, I want to have everyone to have a voice in the team.

To JuicePats, based on experience and success you're going to be a frontrunner for NT. So based on your team's history, what's up with those cup runs the last couple seasons?

I've been concentrating on League these first couple of seasons.

I do hope to start making deeper Cup runs starting this year, but to also be able to do so without compromising my team's PTW.

I do suppose that it's a positive that I've been able to achieve the kind of success I've been experiencing without the financial windfall from a deep Cup run that my main competition has enjoyed - the Cup finalists were both in my conference of the NBBA.

With BB being so young and the US not having the largest userbase, how do you, if elected, plan on putting the USNT a step above the competition?

Thanks for the question, I'll respond with two points.

1. With what I can see from a quick perusal, I believe the USA is one of the larger userbases in BB right now, surpassed in great number only by Italy (with nearly twice the users). This being the case, I think this gives the USA an advantage over most countries based on sheer numbers, as we'll have more players to choose from. However, for the sake of argument, let's assume this is not the case, and the USA has less users than most countries...

2. User base helps, but it's really all about promoting the NT within the USA community and educating users on how to best train high-level players that will benefit both the NT and their club team. This starts with helping new users get a training program going, and having good communication with the user base on what players are in the pipeline.

I saw too often in HT how in order to own a NT player, you had to sacrifice the success of your club team. This turned many people off to the thought of ever owning a NT player, because they'd have to bankrupt their team to own one, but I think we can avoid that in BB by training well-rounded players that will have manageable salaries.

Right now it's hard to say how high salaries will get, since not many people have players with those kind of skill levels. What I can say for certain is that the BBs have put a huge emphasis on training well-rounded players, and I think that is the way to go at both the club and NT level, not only for success on the court, but for success among our user base.

first of all, you started in the NBBA. I did aswell. I know how easy it is to stay there. All you have to do is be semi-active and you will win. Eventually it will get harder and more competitive but being in the NBBA does not mean your an elite team. If you look at your cup runs:


In season 1, Salisbury Auerbachs were one of the final 1024 teams in the Cup.
In season 2, Salisbury Auerbachs were one of the final 512 teams in the Cup.

Both seasons you were one of the first NBBA team knocked out of the Cup.

Do i think your a good team? Yes i enjoy our games, i love playing your team. I consider you my favorite rival, you and Stogey. I know your good, but i dont know about the best choice for the USA NT Coach.

i think #2 is your strongest point, but then again anyone that is elected should be doing this. I am the Trinidad and Tobago NT Coach in HT. I know how to run a NT and i know what kind of scouting sytem is needed. Basicly all you need to do is be active, you got that covered.

Do i think you will be a good NT Coach? Yes, but as an USA manager i want the best manager to be the coach of the best country. I do not think your the best. I think you will be good part of the USA NT system helping out alot but for me, i think LCD316 or stogey should be coach. since stogey hasnt registered for NT coach, i vote for LCD316.

As I stated earlier, I didn't concentrate on the Cup at all, I concentrated on the League. Being KO'ed from a competition you're not really concerned about is pretty irrelevant.

I feel that my experience in implementing a training regimen is key to my success, and being able to impart that to the USA community is one of the most important planks in my platform.

Besides helping the USA NT with getting their players optimal training, having optimal training set up for ALL USA users can only help those users also. Not every team will have an NT player, obviously, but every team can benefit from optimal training.

I'm very interested to hear what LCD316 has to say about their thought and ideas on how to run the NT. In fact, I'd like to hear from ANYONE else.

I too would like to hear from the other potential NT coaches. there are sure a lot of names in the dropdown list, but only two so far have been bothered to post anything....
