I have a good team in my league but I was wondering at what age should I sell star players and look for new guys? Basically I want to know at what point will it be best for me just to sell my star players than let them play out there career with me then sell for little to nothing, instead of selling them earlier and getting a pretty good price out of them?

you'd wanna sell them at about 31~32, before their skills start to decline as well as their value.

This is the answer you will get from most people but I disagree with it. I got to D2 in 3 seasons and a key part of my strategy was buying lots of ~31yo players that were under priced.
I don't think there is any good answer to this question. Sometimes you should be selling a player in their 20s and sometimes you should ride out their decline. Like most things in life, it depends.

it all depends what position the player is playing and how much important is he for your team..
most of the managers would say to sell a player when he hits 32 but I would say that if a player hits 32 but is an important player of your team the why let him go.
as far as the skill drop is concerned, for me,it varies from player to player.I have managed a 36 y.o player for half a season(he was my regular starter) and did not get a single skill drop but at the same time I have seen a double drop by a 32 year old player of mine.
If you ask me the age I would say-
Starter C-32
starter forwards-34
starter guards-33
for backups you can keep a player till he hits 33 and then replace him.

Sell them when you have players to replace them. When they become little or no use to you and the money spent on their salary is a waste you should sell them. But if you are thinking od selling them to hope to find a replacement in a rsik as you might not find a better player for a decent price.
Some teams do very well with older players only.
