I know that the initial draft order is not all that important, but do better players have any tendency to being at the top of the list?
I can effectively either do a scouting combine or a group demonstration but not both at the end of the season and I am trying figure out which would be more effective.
If the initial list is completely random then group demonstration might more season but if it tends to be even slightly accurate than the scouting combine might more sense.
Yes, there is a tendency - in general, the best player will appear in the top spot approximately 1/48 of the time, in the top 2 spots 1/24th of the time, and so on. If you can crack the trend of random occurrences, once you're done winning the lottery, you should end up with an excellent draft.
