My marketing income is significantly below my leagues averge. Basic suggestions for improving marketing income?

Also, is there an advantage to signing players from your own country?

Yes. and Even more benefit to hanging onto players your team drafted itself.

More important than all these things (even winning games) is having salary efficient players. Native players effectively get a small boost to their salary efficiency because of extra merch income. In higher leagues this is a bigger deal because teams are closer in other areas and any advantage counts. But in lower leagues most teams have such poor construction that there are far more important concerns.

Many teams in DV-DIV would be better off if they couldn't see a player's nationality before they bought them because then they would focus more on the builds themselves and have a much wider selection to choose from instead of losing the forest for the trees.

So you actually get more money for American players? I never knew that. I have never kept any Americans except this season I actually had a good trainee. I am just looking for quality players. Though an extra boost probably isn't worth it when buying trainees because American trainees tend to go higher,

I bought a Spanish player with a salary of 220k and my merchandizing also went up 10k, unfortunately not enough to balance the salary.
