So I'm really new to this and I was just wondering if someone could help me and tell me who to train. I have a 19 year old point guard with perennial allstar potential
(Jump Shot: average Jump Range: mediocre Outside Def.: respectable Handling: respectable Driving: mediocre Passing: strong Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: atrocious Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: inept Stamina: average ↑ Free Throw: proficient)
and a 26 year old SG with star potential
(Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: respectable Outside Def.: respectable Handling: awful Driving: average Passing: respectable Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: pitiful Rebounding: inept Shot Blocking: inept Stamina: awful Free Throw: respectable)
that could probably train together in something but I also have a 23 year old powerforward with star potential
(Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: mediocre Outside Def.: average Handling: mediocre Driving: mediocre Passing: respectable Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: respectable Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: mediocre Stamina: awful Free Throw: atrocious)
and a 22 year old center with perennial allstar potential
(Jump Shot: awful Jump Range: respectable Outside Def.: inept Handling: atrocious Driving: respectable Passing: mediocre Inside Shot: awful Inside Def.: mediocre Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: respectable Stamina: pitiful Free Throw: awful)
that I could train together too.

Now my question is this, which duo should I train (unless I can somehow train both) and in what should I train them? Thanks everyone and sorry if that's hard to understand.

The younger a player is the faster training is so ideally you want to train from base skills at 18 or 19 or if u train a 22/23 year old you want more developed skills. The 19 year old will soon be 20 so is ok without being great. He could possibly be a 3rd trainee but i would look at getting at least 2 18/19 year olds at the start of next season.

What's the best way to get two players like that? And should they play similar positions so they can train together? I'm hoping to get a decent player through the draft, but because I started playing right at the end of the season I didn't get to scout much. And I kind of just did random stuff when I started... which included buying the point guard so I'm kind of low on cash as of the moment.

Thanks for replying btw

Most important
You need to read the manual several times
If you have to ask about training a 26 year old than you haven't done that
It matters how old, how tall, level of trainer, level of potential and more
read read read, ask questions later
and best of luck

The reason I asked about him is that he's not too old to show any improvement in real life. A lot of players peak around 27-30 so that's a little bit of time for development, and the manual never gave specific ages as to what is young or not. There's also that he's the other player that would benefit from the training the point guard would be getting if it's scoring training. If he was younger (18-22) I would have given those two the training hands down. I just wasn't sure. So I did read a couple of times.

Thanks though!

Using an example if you train OD on an 18 year old expect a pop every 2 weeks. If you train OD on a 27 year old he would pop every 5-6 weeks. There is no point buying a 18/19 year old in a position your not training as he will just cost more. Better off buying older players in non training positions because they are cheaper.
