Hey everyone,

I'm still pretty new at BB, just finishing up my first season. I remember reading something about it before, but do only the top teams (is it top 2, or how many...?) from each league advance to the next division? How often?

Thanks in advance.

I would also very much appreciate any suggestions you have for a D5 team looking to the future. Right now I am willing to restructure it in a big way if it helps. Right now I am focused on just constantly expanding my arena (should have around 6000 seats or so after next update... ik it's still small but I'm new) and training some guys. I have a 19yo pg and lvl 4 trainer (going to buy or hopefully draft some good trainees after the draft). How much of a difference would a lvl 5 or 6 trainer make?? All things considered my team and assets are worth around 1mill. Should I sell all my key players and buy a lvl 6 or 7 trainer, keeping my other player salaries low and train up 3 legit trainees? Long spiel about my team... srory

Any and all suggestions are appreciated as long as they're honest/nice

Thanks guys.

I haven't looked at your team but the answer is almost always more salary efficient players (OD, secondaries), game shape, and a balanced roster (in that order).

Buying a higher level trainer is not the answer. The large cost isn't close to worth it for a tiny training speed increase. I would actually recommend a basic trainer (lvl 2).

don't buy a higher level trainer. Regardless of whichever strategy you tend to use to develop talent, your trainer is only worth it to you if you can maximize the value that the trainer provides you through training. mistakes cost less with a level 2, but getting a player maxed will take noticeably longer. So you have to decide how serious you want to train.

Right now in D.V in the US, you probably won't make bot promotion. You can promote this season and probably again next season as the 2nd best team in a D.V league. don't expect that to last (in D.IV and definitely by D.III it will no longer be the case), and ideally you should put your team in shape to beat the few guys that are active within the D.V scene in a given season.

Thank you all for the advice!!

I sold my lvl 4 trainer (14k/wk) for a lvl 2 trainer (~4k/wk). I think y'all are right - that this extra 10k will add up and be worth it! I'm not very serious about training... just getting a well-rounded team. So this season I got beat by the winning team (I mean they won the div.) in the first round of playoffs... but I set effort lower than theirs to see if I could make a run (big mistake.. urgh).

So I will focus on what you all suggested (salary efficient, defense-based team, game shape, well-rounded team).

Thanks!
