How do the Staff salaries work?

Game Manual:
When you hire a new staff member, your current one is replaced, and you will need to pay your old assistant one week's salary in severance. You can also fire your staff member (paying one week's salary in severance) and you will be assigned a minimal skill assistant of that type. Since good help is hard to find, your staff will charge a pretty penny for their services. Every week, each staff member will demand a small increase in salary, so it's in your best interest to keep an eye open for fresh staff.

Basically, the salaries of your staff always increase a little bit more on a weekly basis.

Do staff sometimes increase in skill?

Brilliant comment. I was trying to figure this out by just calculating and I always get different results with different levels. And I can confirm this is true. Thanx, ray. never saw this on the forum before to be honest.

Welcome.
I have bought high level trainer before, so I know percentage increase up by 0.25% each.
Therefore, bidding a high level staff with high initial salary will be very costly in future.
