I have a dilemma in regards to my next cup game. Solid opponent, 9-1 in league IV47, has been in III, he's existed since season 6, and made it to round of 128 last year. He is sitting on 7 players with a SG down for 2 weeks. His GS looks haggard.
I will go off at 11. My GS is middling. I have 10 players on the roster, but never go further than 8 outside of garbage time.
He looks to go off normal a lot but it is hard to tell. I know it will crush my enthusiasm, but I have a slacker game saturday night.
I know many say never to crunch, but all my league losses come to those at the top of the table crunching.
Is it worth it?

Dude, he is going to kill you. Normal if you must, but I would TIE, and do better in my league games, which in the long run, probably bring in more money/

I tried it last season and lost anyway. More importantly, it is hard to recover enthusiasm and it will hurt you down the stretch.

If they move they will be replaced with similar but hopefully fresher talent.

Yes it worked well, I may well rue the decision by seasons end, but hey its a managerial sim, not like were curing cancer. Well maybe the Milwaukee Lethergy are, but not here
Alas all good things must end, and my tourney run will be ending like a thud next week as DII #73 nationally Jack Rabbits host the Generals. I'm gonna get smoked.
