Every Sunday I will update the power rankings along with any other fun stats that happened during the week. Thought it would be fun and to try to get more people involved. So if you would like to contribute or put your own opinion/spin on teams and things, go right ahead!

1st Week Power Rankings
* Based on World Rankings

1. Cerebral Assassins #1020
A very deep team with their top 9 player’s having at least $20,000 salary and led by a beast down low by the name of Guo Qunyuan. This team was right there in the Championship series to only be swept by NW Alberta Kaboom United. This season their players only have 1 goal and there is no doubt that the players have that swagger to win it all

2. Keyes Kops #1689
This team has a different look with a deadly 1-2 punch from Zisterer and Diez de Arellano and being surrounded by last year’s MVP and great role players. Last season they made it to the Great 8 Conference Finals only to be knocked out by the champions. With NW Alberta Kaboom United gone, will they be able to lock up the Great 8 Conference this season?

3. Ottawa Lightning #2456
The feeling you get around these players aren’t looking too good as they were knocked out by the giant beasts up in Naismith. The team is controlled by only one player, Stian Alm. He's currently surrounded by a lot of young guns with a lot of potential. Can he turn this ship around and will it be enough to carry his team from the dumpsters?

4. Scarborough Stampede #2608
The team that had an upset in last season’s playoff run from a 4th Q breakdown will only fuel their team more to not only be one of the top teams in this league again but also make a run to the Championship series.

5. The Dream Shakers #3027
Led by the two headed beasts down-low in Briceno and Memnum, this team were crowned champions of III.7 by easily sweeping their opponents in the championship finals. Briceno (III.7 Season 18 MVP) will look to carry his team once again this season to be one of the top teams in Div II.


Sleepers:
Pszczyna team #5861
A solid team that had a rough ride last season and was able to remain in this league by winning the relegation series. Don’t judge them by their rankings. This team is more than capable to make a nice championship run led by their all around team. This will be 6th season in this league so they will be very eager to promote.

I like this! I will probably be stealing this for II.2 ;) I will be cheering for Cerebral Assassins and I! If we both promote this season then there will be three III.12 alumni in Cerebral Assassins, World Alliance and I in Naismith! :D I might help you out with this over the course of the season :)

But dont look at the salaries as a measure of team's strength. Last seaosn we had a team that was rocking around 550k salaries for most of the season and around 450k in relegation series and is now in league III,



Now I am strating to believe that i will do anything to keep me away from studying :/. If you want to see anything else (average age, salaries of starting 5 would be exciting) feel free to calculate and post it here.

Season is coming up in jsut 4 days so let the trash talk begin!

What your doing is awesome, I'll have my own regular write ups, but i'll keep them in the main thread. Just out of curiosity. Do you plan on making the power rankings based on world rankings for the rest of the season??

i am pretty sure it should be based on performance in league since the cup has huge influence on world ranking and is somewhat random.

Ok well I hope you two meet in the finals then. At that point, I am torn :) I see quite a lot of former III.12 teams in div II though. O-Ballas, Murfs Blue Devils(both in II.2), We Are Legends, Cerebral Assassins(both in II.1), and Super Slam Dunks That'll Make You Sore the Day After(II.3) and then there is World Alliance in Naismith. Way to go III.12 :)

Yea I just had to use World Rankings for the first week since I have nothing else to base it off.
The following weeks shall be league performances!

If you're up for the challenge, maybe you can do a weekly write up of MVP Performance of the week or any crazy stat line (good or bad) that a player has got and do a little paragraph on it. I can just take care of Power Rankings

There's also things like Rookie Ladder (although it will be tough to keep track), Hero/Zero Team of the Week. Just some suggestions to possibly help out :)

PS The suggestion is directed to anyone/everyone that wants to help!

I thought you are doing hero/zero team. you had it included in an outline. Rookie Ladder won't be long since we are in league II and I dont think any rookie can be a serious factor. MVP performance is a great idea. I aske simplycrazy to maybe to bit of a writeup/predictions before game and i would do one after.


If only some other managers would step up. Seriously, it doesnt even take an hour weekly so any of you can do it. Will only make this game more exciting for everyone in this league.

I don't mind doing it but if there are other managers wondering what to do, just a suggestion.

It's just something small and quick about writing a paragraph or two on the hottest and coldest team of the week!

I was thinking of doing a "Game of the Night" sort thing. I thought every game night, tuesday and saturday i choose one (maybe two) game(s) that have some significance due to standings/(NT?) player match ups/ Past rivalries or anything interesting that can fuel a meaningful game. Include a write up as to why thats such a meaningful game and possibly predict the winners (Not really sure about predicting the winner part). I'd keep this in the main season 19 thread however.
