I'm about to make a list of who I think are the best players in our league. If you guys would like to add or take off players from my list, feel free to comment :)

PG: Dwain Withers (17735870) Youngest player and only American on this list, but he sure deserves to be on here. When he's on the court, he's hard to stop, scoring 56 points in a game against the White Pine Bobcats this season. Very good scorer who shoots at a fairly high percentage for his position.

Key Stats: 22.5 PPG, 0.536 FG%, 13 Rating

SG: Would have definitely been Jamie Ennis (13184871) if Demon did not sell him, but I think I have to give it to Twan Gibilaro (6837450) based on pure scoring ability. This spot is a bit up in the air, but Twan always finds a way to score no matter what.

Key Stats: 31 PPG

SF: Vytaliy Tereschenko (3138568) Very versatile player who can do it all out there. He can score, rebound, and pass the ball, which is very important for an SF.

Key Stats: 28.8 PPG, 7 RPG, 5.6 APG

PF: Mesut Sinirli (5710694) There's not really even a competition for this spot. If you look at his rating, (14.5 per game) it's easy to tell he's the best player on the court when he's out there. He can perform in pretty much any offense.

Key Stats:18.6 PPG, 9.2 RPG, 14.5 Rating

C: Alfredas Kosiakovas (9193485) Extremely talented big who is unstoppable on the block. He can score and rebound at an extremely high rate.

Key Stats: 27.8 PPG, 16.6 RPG, 1.2 BPG

Not one comment on the dream team? I was certain at least one of you was going to be all up in my face about how pissed off they were that their player didn't get on it :(

Tereschenko is an interesting player--he really should be a much better PG than SF, but he's always performed well as a SF. I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of him over the course of many seasons.

He's a great player, and thank you for commenting :) These forums need more hype. Where is everybody?

Gotta disagree with your PF selection. I think Patrick Pierce is having a better season and doing it with less on his team. Yes Sinirli has an outstanding rating but that doesn't always tell you who is having the best season. Pierce is averaging 17pts, over 11 rebounds and over 4 assists a game as a PF. He also has 2.4 blks per game to Sinirli's 1.0. Which isn't very good for a big man. Minutes are about the same. He's a really great player but I think I'll take Pierce and his versatility.

Sinirli also turns it over about 4 times a game which is a ton for a post player too. That is the 4th most in the league right now, Pierce only turns it over a little over once a game. 4-1 assist to turnover ratio from a power forward? Yes please! I am biased though, lol.

Ahhhh Patrick Pierce, Paul Pierce's white-Canadian twin, haha :D Nah but he is quite a player who definitly could deserve to be on that list. I made this earlier in the season though, and probably did not give enough time for the players to prove themsleves.

Mesut Sinirl is way better than Pierce! Ratings are the single best indicator for how well someone is. Pierce is 10.5 to Sinirli's 14.5. Sinirli scores more points in less minutes 21ppg to 17ppg. He has better FG % and 3FG%. He would have more rebounds if he didn't play SF so much. Sinirli is able to play SF or PF and defend and score against either inside offenses or outside offenses. Sinirli probably has better defense based on his rating, DMI and salary. Pierce is only better at not turning over the ball, passing and shot-blocking. I'll take Sinirli and his versatility any day!

Yeah, I have always been told that ratings are the best way to measure how good a player is and what he means to your team. Does anyone know how it is calculated though?

Ok for the record Sinurli plays 32 minutes a game and Pierce plays 33. Thats a wash. Also Sinurli shoots 56% and Pierce shoots 53% again a wash. 20 points per game to 18 points per game. Wash, the big difference is in rebounds, blocks, and not turning the ball over. Pierce is better in all 3. Both players shoot free throws well and as for 3's Sinurli is 7-17, Pierce is 4-18. Were talking about 3 makes, its not like either player is firing up 3's all game. Ratings do matter but there are routinely bench players that play 8 minutes and get a 12.0 rating while starter can throw up huge games and end up with a 11.0 rating. Lets look at the numbers and you tell me who you'd rather have. I also disagree that Sinurli plays better D.

It is pretty common when players hit the floor for only a few minutes that their ratings are inflated. Probably the easiest way to explain it is that it is often when a good player is coming off the bench at the end of a game and is mismatched against the bottom of the barrel.
