I couldn't not find this in the help section or the manual.

If I purchase a player, that has played minutes on another team, already this week. Can I use those minutes toward their training minutes on my team?

If he has played in a position that you train the answer is yes, those minutes count even if you can´t see them at weekly stats but at player´s page.
