What do you guys typically train ? Your best players w/ a prospect or try to get 2/3 prospects and train them exclusively ?
I've been trying to buy my best players and train up my surrounding cast but that doesn't seem to be working.

Any suggestions on training strat ? what works best for you ?

I like to train 3 guys in single position training. It's easier now that I have depth and can afford to play my trainees a game at 48 minutes and then one game a week as a backup, trying to aim for around 60 minutes a week. The only way you're going to get better if you don't have the money for new players is to try and stay afloat while training new prospects.

I train 2 guys that are two of my best players and another guy just to help with depth. All my guys I'm training are 22 though, so they already have a decent skill set to work with.

I do the same thing as Greerzilla, except my guys are still young, so they aren't that good yet. In a couple seasons though, I will be in the same situation as him.

i am training primarily single position with 3 guys. none of them are my best players, as my "starting 5" would be too old to consider proper training. next season, one of my trainees should be strong enough to be in my "starting 5" at that point i would probably sell him, or the guy he's replacing in top 5.
depending on the season i have been able to use this basic concept with training, sometimes sacrificing training for wins and minutes depending on the situation.
