Euphoria Seekers
I have been thinking of playing patient against an upcoming opponent who likes to use FCP. Has anyone tried this?

I definitely don't want to go up-tempo, but I'm not sure if patient would be more effective vs. FCP than Base offense or Look inside.

Any thoughts?

I would not recommend using patient. Patient is a slow paced offence which means they have more time to get a steal or make you turnover the ball. I would recommend using Run and Gun or Look Inside.
If you don't want a fast paced offence then go with Motion or Base Offence or Low Post.

Anything faced pace beats FCP. Although you do not want to go up-tempo, their team will tire faster than yours so that should not be a concern.

your offensive focus should be set against his defensive weakness.

your pace should be set to favor your team total number of processions.

the most important things against FCP is not the tactic, its who u put on the floor

keep those high TO guys, >1.5, on the bench

have good rebound for at least 1 wing players

have a shot blocker because most opponent combine FCP with RnG or PTB or LI, all favor driving

about pace i ain't sure, because fast paced offense also makes it harder to hold the ball in your lines(and the majority of steals through the press comes in the first seconds), so in avoiding To i would prefer the slow paced tactics.

A point for a fast paced offense is in my eyes, that there is an "defensive" switch point betwen press and a normal defense you should use to score(because if you play Run and Gun i.E. there will be a lot of high percentage early layups and dunks, you won't see anymore when the shot clock is running down a bit).

Generally the best offense against a fcp, is the best offense your team could play with just sligthly advanced for inside tactics(because of the early layups).

Your best attack,FCP is a poorer m2m that has as only goal to steal enough balls to make up the weaker defence and rebounding that gives you
