a base offense is a basic offense. it looks for the best possible shot for your team.
The game manual says this about it.
Base Offense: normal focus/normal pace all others are based off this.
This means that you will look to score against the opposition by winning match ups.
So if you have better outside shooters, expect shots form th eoutside.
If you have better bigmen, you will see more inside shots.
